Emirates Insurance Company P.J.S.C. is an Abu Dhabi general insurer incorporated in 1982 and listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange since December 2000. It writes property, engineering, energy, marine, motor, medical and other general insurance, cedes a large share of its premiums to reinsurers, and holds a portfolio of bonds, listed shares and term deposits. Its 150 million shares have a nominal value of AED 1 each.
